ABOUT US
Hi, I'm Nik. I've been a licensed barber since 2011, but for me, barbering has never been just about cutting hair. It's about creating a space where people feel comfortable, respected, and able to be themselves. I'm the owner of The Barber Society, a private-room barbershop in Bremerton built around the belief that everyone deserves a great haircut without judgment. As a transmasculine nonbinary barber, I know what it's like to wonder if you'll be welcomed in a space, and that experience has shaped the way I approach every appointment. I specialize in short hairstyles, skin fades, beard work, military cuts, first haircuts, and working with clients who may need a quieter, more personalized experience. I'm especially passionate about serving LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent individuals, and children with sensory sensitivities, though my chair is open to everyone. Every appointment takes place in a private room, allowing for a one-on-one experience tailored to your comfort level. Whether you enjoy conversation or prefer a quiet service, my goal is simple: help you leave feeling confident, comfortable, and seen. When I'm not behind the chair, I teach other barbers about inclusive barbering, sensory-friendly services, and building welcoming businesses for every client. I look forward to seeing you in my chair.
